Since I've been watching a lot of GD documentries, I've gotten the feeling that Billie Jo thinks that GD is Hot shit in a glass since their music is so popular, even though he's never come right out and said it. It just seems that he needs GD's music to be punk rock perfect. And even though their music is high in the popular charts, their are a lot of other "punk rock" bands that are really good, maybe even better, but they just aren't in the popular charts. I still like GD and all I just get that feelind from BJ.

idk... I really like Green Day, but I liked them alot more when like, before American Idiot... I like American Idiot & all but they just seem so much more conceded now (but then again A7x are pretty conceded if you read a few interviews about what they want thier carear to be) but I think that it's mainly cus it's so popular now! like that's what pop is popular but notice that if it becomes pop it goes bad in some way & they end up loosing afew fans because of some reason... idk how to explain it! I'm a bit hipocritical when it comes to pop culture!

They are a bit conceited, but I love them nonetheless.
I agree with you Maggie. Once a band becomes mainstream they lose a few fans. Idk why. What makes you not like something if it's popular? This one girl on Myspace (could've been Quizilla) said she hates MCR now because they're mainstream. It's the same band, just more famous!

well for me the reason I usually don't like a band when they become mainstream (usually key word) is because something about them changes, like with Good Charlotte (well Benji & Joel acctually) it was half because of Hilary Duff cus they used to make fun of her for being such a lolly pop & being so fake & then Joel dates her... & I know a lot of ppl from Quizilla who don't like MCR anymore cus they don't do music like Bullets anymore, but that's because Gerard had to get throat surery (which is why I'm not okay sucked live the first few months after Revenge came out) & they also knew that they were going to be playing to a bigger audience, which means they needed to change it a bit... & A whole shit load of ppl hate A7x now & loved them when they first came out, thier first CD is the complete opposite from City of Evil (4th CD), but they have just simply evolved as a band & in thier music tastes
stuff like that just happens & there isn't anything we can do about it, because it's their music, thier message to us, the listeners... we just have to sit by & watch & hope that they contue to be someone we want to look up to

yeah. i was watching MTV really early in the morning and they were playing Avenged Sevenfolds video! Wtf! and some bands lose fans when they get famous b\c, when they weren't mainstream their fans got this sence of " this bands is for under ground ppl like us and no one else" and when they bcome mainstream they lose that sence, when everyone starts to like them. is hard to explain. Also, when a band becomes popular, there is more of a chance for ppl to not like them and make fun of them...

I agree, like some ppl (I definatly am) are selfish of their music & the musicians they like, I think that's what caused sub-greneras (sp?!?!?!?!?!)in the first place, everyone just wants a place to belong, to know thier place, & when their bands that help define them become loved by everyone they feel like they've been betrayed (I feel like that sometimes, with sertine bands)

Yeah, I'm so possive that when someone talks badly about the Beatles I feel like crying and I have dreams about killing the person that made fun of them. And I also feel embaressed[sp?] when someone talks badly about them...
